Upgrading ARB bar lights to LED

I ordered mine from these guys a month ago - still waiting

I'm told that about five sets destined for WA were posted the same day but never arrived - I'm waiting for the replacements. I have to say they have been very reasonable and have resent without question.

The second link shows a light that does not have a screw hole in them. Are you sure they will fit in or are you thinking of manufacturing a bracket to get them in?

Whether it is LED or original globes the globe housing is still crap hence why the whole lot needs to be replaced with an LED sealed unit.

How did you wire in the lights when you fitted the bar Marc? If you used the scotchloks that come with the bar you may have a dodgy connection. You are right, LEDs should last for years.

I just fitted the LED bulbs and it was far easier than I expected. I was able to reach in from above and get them out that way.



After 1CB's comments on the indicators looking very washed out with white LEDs I went for amber LEDs and once behind the lens they look fine - very happy with the result.

No, not the current bar. It fits the older type with a bracket behind the light, but the current bar needs to have screw holes that go through the light, which this one does not have.

Hmmmmm, I need to replace one of mine as its broken and I have the latest bar without the bracket. I haven't been able to find anything in a sealed LED that will fit, might be another custom project to make a new mount!
