It can be heard when going over bumps in the road mackayvx had a ride with me yesterday and still are rubbing our heads
    Ghost,
I recently had that problem and it was fixed for $5 at my local exhaust place. One of the rubber supension rings had been torn off or split off the rear of the exhaust. There should be two at the rear. If there is only one get the missing one replaced. This stopped the excessive wobble.

A bit of an update, had the system for a couple of months now, I ended up going to a local exhaust place and had them check the system over, they were concerned with the vibrations, and made up a new mount that used one of the Bolts on the transmission and attached an l shape piece of steel to the exhaust, fixing it by a 2 3/4 u bolt to the exhaust, this has stopped the vibration completely. Also I have noticed I've lost about a lt/ 100k economy, not impressed, been in contact with beudesert about the issues,

Lost a ltr per 100km? Eh? So your economy has worsened?

Maybe you are giving it more right foot to listen to the exhaust?

na far from it lads, im damn sure its not from me using more right foot, i dont care about the sound, be different if i was in a v8. i want as good as fuel economy when im not playing.. before i fitted the exhaust was sitting at an average of 10.5 now since the exhaust the last two fill ups have gone 11.4 and 11.7 tyres are properly inflated, filters are clean, the last tank (11.7) was even after it came back from its service which meant clean filters and the like so its not that. tyres are all rotated and balanced. leaning towards the exhaust, and im not even using the aircon so i would hate to see my figures if i was..

Id be looking at a manta next time. The word Manta sounds a bit more sexy...
Hi mackay, notice any power or economy improvement with the 1kzte? I'm looking at an exhaust for mine, thinking 2.5 tho as I think the 3 will be too loud for me...
                  Cheers, Josh

I reckon leave the stock one on. I replaced the muffler with a straight through one lost power down low so put original one back on. Just drove up to Queensland avg 9.8l/100ks loaded with gear air con on most of time not bad I though!

2 and 3/4 is a Beaudesert thing if you ring around a number of exhaust places

All others have 2 and 1/2 or 3's and I would say go up, not down if you are chipping it.

They do a 3 in as well, but I have the 2 and 3/4 and it works fine (EGT's are cool, but I don't run mine into the ground either).

Would I be better off putting 3" or the 2.75" system on to my prado with the 1KZ-TE engine. Also what is the round about cost?
