Hi guys,
A couple of weeks ago I finally got around to fitting the racor secondary fuel filter, everything seemed to be doing fine until the car sat for a couple of days,
The first time i went to start the car it just turned over a couplr of times until i just popped the bonnet and re primed the fuel filter, (the clear filter bowl was still full) and then she fired straight away, while its running there isnt any dramas, and just leaving it over night doesnt cause the same issue. I also re bled the system and i did get some more air out..
Then tonight I decided to check again, the car has again been sitting for three days as I'm at work, and yep same thing, this time I have just bypassed the secondary filter and just using the main filter. I have 4 more days at work so will check in a couple of days to make sure she fires straight away and doesnt need priming, if she fires it definitely the racor unit.
Has anyone else had this issue when fitting a secondary fuel filter to the d4d?
Cheers
Craig
