thanks, just checked and timing belt for 120 seems to be 1356839015.
Is there any other parts required for the timing belt and water pump changover?
I also came across a few threads on Amayama Trading. What is the consensus here are they the real deal as their prices are cheap.

Interesting?? For starters there is only "ONE" camshaft seal and the crankshaft "Harmonic" is a totally different seal??... So why "THREE" of the same seal?? ... Lol

I'm guessing they would be cashing in on parts and labour for parts they have no intention of changing!

          Cheers

I'm about to clock 100,000km and will have the local Toyota dealer do the timing belt ($400 parts and labour!). Should I get the water pump done at the same time?

Based on the other threads I guess I better get the sump screen and injectors checked while I'm at it......

Huge thanks to my 'virtual mechanics' at Pradopoint, can't find a mechanic I trust that much in Nairobi )-:

            Cheers,

              Cheers,
I thought the timing belt is at 150K Km - but an ounce of prevention....

Personally, I agree to get the water pump done at the same time.

What I would do this service (and expect a possible big bill with this) is get the injector readings (both cold and hot), vehicle will have to overnight.

IF the dealer has done the 80K km service properly, the injectors would have been pulled for inspection and sheet and o-rings replaced. If this was not done, ask why and push for them to do it properly at their expense. Otherwise you might have a time bomb....

Screen inspection is the go, if they have the capacity for a inspection camera - demand to see the image.

I learned the hard way, don't want anyone else to have to go that route.

Thanks, will be doing the timing belt now partly because I'll likely have to sell it in about 50km or so. I'm worried about the time bomb issue since I drive in some dodgy areas and hope to do some long drives soon (my last was 7200km and I was thinking injectors the whole time....). Everyone here seems to think all you have to do is run the detergent through the system regularly.

                Cheers,

Currently looking to replace the timing belt and water pump shortly.
Re the required seals, can anyone confirm with partnumbers which seals require replacement?
                            1 x 9031132019 CAM SEAL
But I believe I am missing other seals?
This kit shows two other seals but I dont have a reference part number for them, can anyone assist?
