rapid deisel chip( yes or no)
any comments on using a rapid diesel chip on 1kz and D4D please

I'm not sure I'll ever Chip my 1KZ-TE auto but if I did I'd only go the Steinbauer option. Have had chips in 3 cars to date. DTRonic on my 2004 Hilux, same again on the 2006 early Prado. Added the Tiapan 3" exhaust to this one. My 2008 Prado has a Tunit chip but no exhaust upgrade. Car now has 160000 km and no real issue with ecu or other. Jon replaced the injectors recently and showed the usual signs of carbon build up etc.
To date have never had any issues with the chips although did have several failures with the Tiapan cracking in different places. My brother is on his second 150 series and has Roo Systems chip (looks the same as Tunit).
Please be careful when adding any upgrade to your pride and joy as the cheaper price you pay today will be soon be forgotten, but the quality whether good or bad will remain for a long time.

So does the Beaudesert Exhaust, not sure if they have rectified the problem or not. When I had my 90 I enquired about the cracking issue and they said they have never had an issue so I sent them a picture of it and they never got back to me so I never game them my cash either, this is a picture of dump pipe [IMG]
