  • Egr Valve blocking

Hi all not sure if someone has already asked this but I have a 05 model prado pre common rail and was reading somewhere where you can block the Egr valve. just wondering if this correct?

Yep. No problem. Mine's been blocked from new.
I did the old ball bearing in the diaphragm vacuum line trick. But on an older vehicle it may be best to insert a plate between the valve and manifold because over time the valves leak at the seat or are stuck partially open anyway.

Doesn't it bring on a constant light, when i got my injectors changed they didn't put a vacuume line on and it kept bringing up a light on the dash.
Does the computer change the fueling because of it?

It won't bring on a check light on a 1KZ-TE. ECU maintains the same fueling. The KZ isn't very high tech.
