2007 prado white smoke only on cold start

My 2007 prado seems to produce a white smoke only on a cold start up.
Has anyone had this problem & actually sourced & fixed this problem?
I've seen heaps of suggestions as what it could be but never seen if they have had the problem resolved. Can anyone help me out on this?

Yep - DO NOT DRIVE.

Injector sheets are gone, possibly the injectors as well. Get it towed to a reputable diesel/toyota mechanic. You MIGHT cop it lightly and only the injector sheets need to be done.

Either way, the oil sump pickup screen should be be checked as well.

$2-3K now, or $10-20K later....

An 07 won't have the latest injectors so I suggest getting Baileys rebuilt injectors and fit these up. Drop the sump pan and clean the oil pick up screen. Some threads to read in this section. Lots of words but persevere.

As mentioned don't start it again until you change out the injectors. Oh and clean the inlet tract and fit a catch can. If you are going to DIY there is a great thread elsewhere on the web.
