Hi All,
Long time member first time posting.
I have searched the forum but cannot find the exact problem I'm having so I am going to try my luck with this post.
I have a 2007 D4D 120 Prado with 180,000 on the clock.
Over the last few weeks it has started stalling intermittently.
Example: 1) I could be just talking off at a set of lights and it will almost stall. 2) Other times it will stall all together which requires me to quickly put the car in neutral and re start the car 3) Or I could be driving along at 100K's and it will stall completely or almost stall.
What has been done on the car:
1. Car has an impeccable service history
2. MAF sensor cleaned
3. Replace both fuel filters last week just in case
4. Injectors were replaced at 125,000 under warranty by Toyota
Took it to Toyota last week for them to look at it and they have told me:
1. That no error codes evident. (I know that as I run a scan gauge).
2. Checked data list, feedback readings above specified limit (whatever that means) and recommend replacing injectors and pipes at a cost of $2,568.00.
When I told them that they replaced the injectors only 60k ago they said 'well sir you must of got a bad batch of fuel' (yeah right )
I'm hoping someone may have had this same issue as me.
Look forward to a response.
Cheers Todd
