Hey everyone, I have a 2008 GXL with 190000km which I have recently purchased. In part due to reading this thread I had the injectors, seals and fuel lines replaced at 185000km with Baileys Diesel replacements. Truck has been running great with the following exception:
- Black smoke visible under heavy acceleration.
- Small amounts of grey and black smoke whilst accelerating in reverse
Any ideas what this could be? I am about to put a 6mm EGR reduction on and clean it at the same time. The truck does have a 3" exhaust and I believe it had a chip in its previous life. The black smoke in acceleration only became noticeable after I had the injectors done. Should I take it back to the mechanics that replaced the injectors?
