Interesting Jacto. How does the additive appear on your invoice? Just checked through mine and there's a lot of jargon there. Just wondering what I'm seeing. I might have to query some more stuff on it this time.
I am going to phone them on Monday to find out what the additive is they are actually putting in and ask them why they do it when they also charged me $99 on the same invoice for an injector clean :?06 GXL D4D, 6spd, Snorkel, ARB bar, XS900 50w HID lights, 55W HID Headlight upgrades, T/bar, 7" GPS, QStarz data logger, 52L Bushman Fridge, Premier winch, Sandgrabbas, GME TX3440, AE4705 antenna, Scangauge II, Dual Batteries, Aero bars & rack, Drawers, 2" Ironman/Rancho/King lift, Under bonnet compressor, Black ducks, Voltage booster, Rear table, AVE TPMS,

Guys stick to you guns because as some of you guys have already mention about what will happen when the Prado runs out of warranty? you have to look no further to want happen at HD with their 2007 release harley, they had a tranny problem and to cut a long story short, the 2008 release had the fix and then they were charging the 2007 owners for the parts to fix it. The thread is still going after 262 pages ,2613 replies and 186412 views  . Toyota better get the fix happening because for what I gather that sent shockwaves around the world and sales of the 2007 hit the skids and they then had trouble moving the stock. Here is the amazing story has it unfolder by title holder for the longest thread CT DUKE and hopefully this thread does not overtake him.

Spoke to Toyota today and as you have all stated they are fully aware of the problem and are seeking a fix.
He was of the opinion that the injectors arn`t the problem rather the timing and fuel mixtures on start up. The colder the weather the more the problem exists.
They are not concerned about me still driving the car so until the fix arrives i will have to let it warm up for a few more mins in the morning. :?Cheers Moto

Ahhh Geez Moto not you as well!!! How many K's do you have up at the moment??
I'm crossing my fingers at the moment. I haven't really had a repeat of what I had a week ago. There is certainly a rattle there in the mornings but it's nothing like I had that day, and only lasts just a few minutes (say 5) at the moment. Only 9000 k's up for me though.# 2007 D4D GX # Full Privacy Tint # Flinders Red # 2 x HID LightForce 240 Blitz # ARB Winch Bar # Alloy Rims # Hilux Washer Jets # Stebel Nautilus Compact Truck Horn # ARB Alloy Roof Rack # ARB Dual Battery System # Charcoal Rough Country Canvas Seat Covers # Suspension:Autocraft Bilstein Shocks/Struts & Ridepro Coils # L.E.D Side Marker Lights # ARB Onboard Air # Pirelli Scorpion LT ATR 265/70's #--Custom 3"exhaust---

I look after my cars very well and keep it in a lovely warm garage at night so wraping the engine with an electric blanket is probably going a bit to far.  :lol:Cheers Moto

The temp gauge takes forever to move in the winter!! Which in turn I freeze whilst driving to work waiting for the heater.
I'm running 50/50 bio and still get a bit of a rattle, but smooth and quiet when warm. It took 886 k's of city driving to change tanks, which I thought was pretty good running bio.VX D4D

Wonder if bio fuel makes things worst, faster or what :?: :?:
