I was talking to the guy from Street Scene and he doesn't really touch the diesels. He sends diesel work to Allied Diesel and Turbo which is around the corner from them. They seem pretty good and know their stuff.

U might have been talking to John, or George, yes thats who they use. They do everything else on my vehicle, diesel specific stuff they send to allied, and yes they know their stuff, good luck mate

My mechanic gets all his diesel work done at Allied. Careful that United don't sell you rebuilt Denso injectors. I think I got stung with these, even though I asked for new.

I had mine done at United and for unrelated causes needed a engine rebuild 6000kms later. My mechanic sent them to Allied to get tested and came back out of spec. Took them back to United as they where only 6000kms old they tested them. Results where all within .2 or .3 between both shops but United gave them the green tick. Not having my own testing machine..who do you believe?

Ended being better safe than sorry with a fresh engine and got new ones through insurance as part of the rebuild through Allied who rebuilt my fuel pump while there.

BB do u remember wot the fuel pump rebuild cost, rough figures will do as i was told some governer or valve or something along those lines is cactus in my pump, this is the next job on the bus

Hi Pradopolous, sorry I don't know the cost as it was covered by the insurance company so I didn't pay attention to individual costs as there was so much getting fixed. I will pull out my receipts tonight to see if I can find one for this

I had a look at the receipt, looks to be around $1400.

Bushbasher, might be that i think, not sure as i always dont pay attention but i was told to get ready for it, as in $$$ wise...I trust my mech as to wot needs to be done, ive never questioned him/them in all the yrs ive been there and never had any issues with anyone else they recommend either. We spend more time reminiscing about our shady sporting past with memorable efforts at the bar coupled with shenanigans, blues and laughs etc on the field. They were wild days.

SCV is $200 - 400 depending on where you get it from. 2 allen head bolts and it's out.
