Injectors Changed under Ex Warranty
Hi All,
Had my Injectors Changed under Toyota Extended Warranty approx 18 months ago, 2 weeks after had to take Prado back due Injector No: 3 leaking.
Had Anthony do a full EGR clean shortly after leak repair, found broken harness clips, loose bolts, pipes had not been replaced as should be on injector change, Injector No: 1 pipe looked offset, but didn't bother complaining again to dealer who carried out job.
Went on a Trip with a few fellow PP's to Fraser Island & Harvey Bay 2 weeks ago, during which Injector No: 1 started to leak.
Got back home & Anthony sorted out new pipes, seats etc to fix poor Quality Job done by Toyota Dealer. Only covered Approx 30K's since injectors were replaced. 2 Injectors were replaced after only approx 50km, so I now have 112350km on clock 6 Injectors replaced, only 1 set of pipes Changed & that was today by ####.
The reason I post this is: just be very careful who works on your precious Prado, it took me nearly 12 months to get the dealer to Changed the Injectors under warranty, & that was only when I took my own data in to show them the injector values. And now I regret they ever touched my Hard Erned Prado.
