suitable synthetic engine oil

Hi

does anyone know of a suitable fully / semi synthetic engine oil for the 1kd-ftv?

Any opinions on going to a synthetic oil?

i'd start here.

i've always run RX SUPER or J-MAX for our family trucks in the past.
you change the oil often enough that getting value out of using synthetic oils, i couldn't justify, and still can't.
our prado, gets changed every 5000kms or 6 months.
so for the extra cost and changing it at these intervals, i can't see the advantage.
if however i was going to do 10-15km between changes then probably i could.
i just use good quality oil and often and thats good for me and vehicle
