    I have just had the 20K service done and receipt has GSKT (oil Pan) L193 Cost $1.20

      with all respect... should the question be...do we need this thread? after all were talking about a very cheap part which if used, is only used very 5-10k? If its recommended, I wouldnt question it, especially considering the minor cost.

        Normally when you remove the plug the washer will be stuck on to the sump (this is why you often find them with 2 washers) & you need to give it a hit with a large screwdriver (palm of hand) to remove it

        I replace them every time as they compress when tightened & it is a pain to drop the oil out again if the thing doesn't seal

        A lot of people reuse them but i can't see the point for the sake of a couple of dollars & a angry customer if the thing drips

        The plug should not be fitted without a washer
