Beaudesert Exhaust Installation

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and see several members have installed a Beaudesert exhaust on their D4D. I have just received mine by courier and ask if anyone has any tips or traps when installing these.

I put my beaudesert exhaust on at xmas on my 2003 td prado. I presume they are similar to the D4D. The 1st thing you you need is patients ( And rum if you drink that or whatever you drink Just to relax ) Removing the old exhaust system bar the dump pipe was not a hassle. The dump pipe is the pain to remove, I had it up on ramps for better access underneath but then found if I removed the drivers side wheel and rubber flap I could get better access to the outer dump pipe bolts. The bolts on the inside close to the block are a bit of a pain. I used a few extension bars and flexi knuckle to accesss these bolts. You will also neeed 2 sets of hands as to get the socket on the inside bolt from underneath is almost impossible. So one underneath and the other putting the socket onto the nut makes it a hell of a lot easier. I also had to undo the diesel tank protector bolts and drop the plate a little to remove the old tailpipe as it was too low to the ground to get the tailpipe out and it was hitting the tank protector plate. Once you get the exhaust on and drive it you will be very impressed I think. Mine is a auto and I did have to bend the automatic transmission dipstick tube a little bit ( Thats what Beaudesert advised) Best of luck.

Many thanks for the advice I'll advise how I go. Beaudesert also advised to spray the nuts/studs before removal.
