Have just had a 40K service completed on my 2006 D4D diesel. When doing some under bonnet checks noticed fuel filter has been relocated slightly forward on the right wall, a different type of assembly fitted with new plumbing. Any ideas on why the changes have been made? Dealer said nothing to me at the time.

Pretty poor of the dealer to make a modification/change and not say anything to the customer? :!: :!:
Whats written on your service sheet about it?

Re: D4D Fuel Filter Modification
When I picked up my baby back in January the sales rep gave me a colour brouchure featuring a wonderful new filter and complete with a story about how it will prolong injectore life and make my engine run smoother and more efficiently. It showed what appeared to be a black plastic cylindrical item with no obvious removable filter - it may have been internal. The filter in my car is actually metal, silver and grey with an obvious screw on cylindrical replaceable filter.
What have they fitted to your car?Dave
