Chip and exhaust for 1KZ-TE diesel

Hi all,
I have an 06 1KZ engined diesel auto that I bought specifically for bush trips. I have had bad experiences with fuel contamination with a common rail diesel hence the 1KZ.
Fully loaded it works hard to pull a fully loaded Tvan at highway speeds and I am hoping that someone might give me some feedback on results from exhaust and chip mods for this engine.
All it really needs is a bit more torque @ 2500rpm
I have a Steinbauer chip on the "other" vehicle and the performance is extraordinary but with the less precise fuel control on an earlier diesel I would want to be quite conservative.

we run just the stenbauer chip on our 1kz, but no exhaust.
is so much better now.
alot better towing our large enclosed trailer

I have a Dtronic chip with 3" dump pipe and 2.5' exhaust and also D-Gas diesel gas system on my 2001 TD auto 95 series. The Prado goes very very well. I first put on the chip and it made a nice improvement, with bigger dump pipe and 2.5' exhaust there further useful improvement particularly in the rate of the turbo spooling up and coming on boost much earlier. However the biggest boost is from the gas injection made improvement. Unladen dragging off cars from the lights is so much fun because there is now a lot of torque low down.

The only problem I have with gas is that there was only space for 19 litre tank to be fitted in the chassis under the passenger on the drivers side. I am going to get another tank fitted before I go travelling around Australia.

Towing my not so light boat is much easier. Last time we drove to Kalbarri the drive from Geraldton to Northampton was achieved much more easily.

The 3" Dump Pipe and 2.5" exhaust were fitted at Grapnell Mufflers in Balcatta.
