Rebuild or replace?

Any recommendations for either rebuild or replacement engine in a 2007 prado grande. Any experiences worth sharing? Thanks

Personally I’d never rebuild again.
Way to many variables and too much risk of lazy workmanship and inferior parts.
If I wanted to move the vehicle on, I’d go a second hand motor and sell it.
If I wanted to keep it, a new motor is the way to go.
Given it’s 2007, I couldn’t justify 15k on a new motor so I’d get a second hand motor and sell it.
All the best, it can be a hard choice. Having been there, my advice would be to move on and count your losses.
