  • Fuel pressure sensor replacement - P0191

Attempting to replace the fuel pressure sensor myself, and have got good access to it, but it's on very tight. I don't have a 30mm spanner, so I've been trying with an adjustable wrench but can't get the leverage. A deep socket doesn't fit in as the spot is tight to get to, but a regular socket wouldn't go over the connector. Can anyone suggest a tool, or a way to get at it?

Well if anyone is interested, a 30mm crowfoot wrench did the trick. I ordered a replacement sensor off eBay, that was labelled as a Denso branded one, but came in a Premier Auto Trade box, although it WAS stamped/etched with the exact same part number as the OEM one i took off the car. Easy job, took about 10mins. Once replaced, I cleared the codes on the ECU, it started up with white smoke still for a few min, which I expected, then came good.

Separately, I have some lingering compression issues which I will make another post about

Lingering compression issues were fixed with Rislone Compression Repair. Saw it used on old tractors etc, had serious doubts but took the $40 gamble. Good as new
