Yeah My Cat did cost in the region of $300 - $400 which certainly did jack the price up. Interesting comment about going 3" straight off the turbo. I came across such comments as well but nobody had any solid info on exactly what the problems are going 3" straight from there. "Engine Management issues" was about as much as I got. Which I take to mean that some sensors begin to read 'out of spec' which in turn generates fault codes. Perhaps even the dreaded stepper motor fault. But I'm purely guessing with all that. Some people say 3" off the turbo is well worth it on a Prado, others say don't bother. Bloke who did mine said it'd be worth it, but that it isn't the case for all 4WD's. I can only assume its something to do with diameters etc upstream of the turbo outlet.
