G'day, has anyone had this system fitted from Roo systems.
I am looking at ll different types of systems available and some feedback on this system would help?

The last 4WD action DVD had the Roo systems 200 series on a trip up the cape and it was a weapon.

Re: Roo Systems Chip and 3"Exhaust

I fitted the rro systems chip about two weeks ago and it is awesome, I already had a manta 3" system and they sent over a chip to suit. Car is so much nicer to drive and changes gears alot smoother I wish I had of done it earlier. The chip is actually based on Tunit chip. I have the 1kz-te engine.

I looked at these, but thought they were over priced Tunits, so went for the Tunit.

I bought my chip directly from roo systems and fitted it myself, I paid $1250 delivered to my door at trade price.

Re: Roo Systems Chip and 3"Exhaust

Don't wish to hijack this thread however the guys at Roo told me today that they don't have a jig yet for a DIY 3" exhaust for the 1KZ Prado. They need a non D4D Prado for 5 days to make an exhaust plus a jig. So if you have a 1KZ that you are willing to loan them for 5 days, they will make you a 3" exhaust for a substantial discount (but I think you also need to buy a chip). I have no affiliation with Roo at all, nor am I endorsing their products. I am just passing this on to anyone in Qld that may be interested. I am in Melbourne so the deal is not practical for me.

Re: Roo Systems Chip and 3"Exhaust

They offered me a $900 stainless steel 3 inch system, however when I went over and spoke to them, the condition was that I also buy a tunit chip for $2400.

In the end I put on a $150 free flow muffler and a $650 refurbished chip from Tunit, with 12 month Warranty.

                  Great performance.

Maybe I could have gotten more performance for the $1500 but I spent it on other toys.

                  Regards
                  Geoff

Why would they ask you to put a tunit chip on dont they have their own brand

Re: Roo Systems Chip and 3"Exhaust

No, they start with a tunit, however they adjust the chip via a laptop and can fine tune it to your car, so I suppose they can get that extra bit of performance out of the chip. I just didn't need the extra especially at $1500.
