It would also be interesting to hear another 1kz to compare.

I'm northern suburbs if you want compare. I have the same vintage Prado with 1kz/5 speed combo.

Also check out "fuelly.com" for more "honest" Prado fuel consumption figures.

How many k's has your Prado actually done?

Thanks for the offer, of course as it always works out - I am south at Port Noarlunga, how far north are you?

My Prado has just ticked over 105,000 - so should only just be getting worn in!

Bugger I was just down that way last two days :roll:

I'm in Salisbury Downs.

They are a noisey pump if you listen through a stethoscope/screw driver that's for sure. If it idles and drives fine then I wouldn't be pointing your finger at th pump just yet, they really are very reliable in that department. (Of course I haven't seen or heard your engine)

In regards to your fuel economy; I'd be thinking about spending a few hundred dollars on a set of exchange injectors. 100k is around the mark for useful service life of the nozzles and it's all down hill from here in regards to spray patterns.

Hi All

First time on Prado Point...I had this Problem with my Prado and it turned out to be the EGR valve,i blocked it of and the the noise has since gone..Cheers hope this helps.
