Hi all,
Have had my 2008 D4D auto from the 1700km mark, always serviced on time and it has now done 72,000 Km.
On the odd occasion the engine will just stall. It does not happen when I am driving; just when it has been started and is idling. It also does not appear to happen when cold.
Of note is the point that the engine takes some amount of cranking before it fires up on subsequent restart attempts. Just as if there is air in the fuel system on an old style diesel engine......not what I want on a super CRD type engine.
Does anyone have the miracle cure for this apart from some petrol and matches??
I’d appreciate any useful feedback.
