Petrol filter location

Hey guys,

I want to change my fuel filter but I have no idea where it is. Can someone point my in the right direction?

Hi guys,

The post above is actually from me, but I couldn't get a new password sent to me at the time so I made a new username. Sorry.

But it's sorted now and I am back on the right username :-)

But it still don't know where the filter is. I have googled but to no avail. I did read that it could be located under the vehicle near the left rear wheel, but rather than going searching all over the car, I thought for sure that someone here has replaced it before...?

Hey guys, can everyone see this, coz I think it's weird that no one had replied... Surely someone here has replaced a petrol filter?

I've gone to checking out forums using tapatalk on my phone so maybe it isn't working.....?

was hoping to do this myself in the next service,
I have my service manual ( forget the name lol like a gregorys type ) but it only mentions under the bonnet and a image that I cant find under my bonnet to me it looks like the passengers side next to the fuses .
Any help would be great as after my last " service " im preety sure they woulndt have done it.
Ill do some more googling and if I do find it take some pics.

ohh search is odd, on this site I get next to nothing for fuel filter, I goolgle it an find posts on this forum that didnt show in internal search, odd

Fuel filter is on left hand side of engine bay(Passenger side)

Fuel Filter is pretty much the easiest part to spot in the entire engine bay... Passenger side up high...

Red arrow shows the spot:

Now Ive gone out and checked and im happy, is it hard to change or jsut a case of buy replacement, take old hose /s off replace/ tighten hoses up and start car up ?

pretty easy guys . hoses have some strange clips on them . i emptied half of cape york out of my old one . by the way if you check out ebay you can get all 3 service filters for $51 dollars . i paid $40 more at bursons at supposed trade price . think i got ripped

Do you need to somehow de-pressurize the fuel lines before removing the filter?

On my 90 series there was an in-line filter on the chassis rail roughly under the front passenger seat.Is it the same on the 120's? Rather than walk outside and lie on the ground at this time of night, does anyone know?

no depressurising needed , just be carefull with the strange little red clip on the bottom. its a weird one .
