Justo, PM sent. Just wondering, can anyone who has already fitted these and replaced the 1940's style headers, can you tell me if it gets rid of that annoying ticking sound that plagues all standard Prado 4LT's.

I can still get them at the same price delivered if you are interested.
They do require welding. Are there extractors that bolt directly to the exhaust and leaves the precats out?
I'm not fussed about the cats since I'm running on LPG.Comment

No idea on that mate, you could get a section made up with flanges on it to bolt straight in..but doesn't solve the problem of avoiding welding.Originally posted by HappyPradoOwner
Well I got the extractors in and finished..
Not a bad job if you don't count the one nut that refused to be removed from under the old headers.!!! Takes away that standard sound that everyone loves so much and gives it a nice V6 growl under power. And there is a noticeable increase in power/torque through the entire rev range. Will keep an eye on the economy and see if it makes much difference.

Are the pre-cats a straight thru affair, does it look like they offer any resistance?

I read through the instructions a coupla weeks back but didn't really follow them once I got started. 8) There's nothing too hard about it once you can see what needs to be done.
I think the instructions say to do one side at a time, I actually did both and I think it makes it a bit easier and quicker once its time to tack weld the pre-cats in place. I only had a borrowed inverter arc welder but a mig would have made the job a lot easier especially reaching through the guards doing the tack welds.!
The only other thing I can think of is that you will need to modify or make up a bracket to mount the auto trans dipstick.
