Fuel Tank Capacity

I bought Toyota Prado VX 2005 in Dubai UAE. I would like to know what is my fuel tank capacity.

I'm guessing that if your spare wheel is not hanging from the tailgate that you have 90 litres.

Australian versions have the spare wheel on the tailgate to make room for the second 90 litre tank.

In Lexus versions of the Prado in the US, the spare sits underneath the car in place of the second tank.

Assuming your vehicle is similar to an Australian spec model, then with the twin tanks you should have 180 litres.

Your owners manual should have your local specs detailed and should confirm this.

Maybe you could run your car to almost empty.Go to a petrol station fill it right up and then read on the petrol bowser how much fuel actually went in

I bought this car (used) from local dealer last saturday it was so empty so i went to petrol station for a full re-fill I was surprise that i ipaid 235 dirhams/64 usd about 6 dirhams per gallon. maybe its 180 litres.

Have a look under your car, the front tank is in front of the rear wheels on the driver side, the other tank is under the rear end, if you have tanks in both of these area's you will have 180 ltrs which i would think would be the case if the wheel is on the back door.

64 USD for 180L, roughly $70 AUD. :shock: :shock: :shock: we are getting ripped off on fuel prices!! same fill is well over $200 here!

Dubai Prados

The Dubai Prado can take 183 Ltr Exact . Gives you a range between 850 - 1050 KM on Dubai Driving and When you engage the cruise control between cities at 110 the tank squuezes 1120KM Exact :P

As for fuel Prices - Saudi payes 35$ for a full tank :shock: :shock:

And yup I used to fill my Aussie Prado from Shell for $AU230 -0 180 Ltr
