    Overheating

    Hay Khaled Mate

    Welcvome to the forume

Basic Cooling Network of the car, Water & Air and both are controlled through heat sensors that will allow water to thrust from point A to point B when the tempreature is just about to get hot.

If your radiator water level is always full and the fan is working then check the valve

So perhabs what you need is a new Thermostate and/or valve controller or the water pump (any of these three) basic stuff really.

Note check the cheapest parts first , in Dubai any idiot including the thief calling him self a dealer- will till you starigh away it's pump sir! 6000000000000000$ please sir and vist us after 5 days sir! 8)

    Tell me how you go

Any ideas my fellow pradopointers

      Overheating : More serious

      Mate

If your prado had been heating after you changed the thermostate then am afraid that the head gasket might be alraedy burned  possible from a previous overheating that was ignored .

Try changing the thermostate and if the problem is still there then Have a decent mechanic check the head gasket

An other ideas My fellow Pradopointers

That's about what I could help with dear khaled

      Cheers

        G'day Khalid.

Geez mate, I'm not sure that I would have replaced so many expensive parts on a relatively new vehicle without first understanding what was causing the problem

Some questions - when you say the vehicle was overheating does that mean the engine was blowing fluid into the overflow reservior; or was the temperature gauge in the red; or both? Under what conditions was this happening - only under load; all the time?

I guess what I would have done first is to get the local dealer to at least check out the thermostat, temperature sender unit, and gauge.

Let us know how you get on.

Hope it hasn't been too hot.!! As has been mentioned it could be the Thermostat not opening at the correct temp range. Check the radiator for air bubbles coming back, good sign there's a leak in the head gasket or a warped head if there's a constant rate of small air bubbles. Let the engine run at idle and watch it to make sure the fan is actually engaging when required. Get a mechanic to do a pressure test on the cooling system. Couple of ideas to help you out.! 8)
And another tip, don't mix coolants.! Only use the same type.

How hot is it showing on the temp guage.?

thanks everyone for the help... but the problem still there..
i checked the head and changed the gaskit and checked the head and the block its ok... it didnt overheat for a while..

but again it overheated.. i found there is small air bubbles when i opened the radiator cap and it doesnt heat too much.. the guage reachs the middle point maximum... while normal prado guage is half my guage...

            waiting for your help...

            thanks...

The bubbles show there is most likely a leak there somewhere unless the system hasn't had the air bled properly when you refilled it and its just simply finding its own way out. There should be an air bleeder on top of the thermostat housing, bleed the air from there if you haven't already done so.
Did you have the heads pressure tested.? It's the only way to know for sure if there's a crack or they're warped.
I don't think you need to be over worried about the temp gauge being at half way, some gauges do read different to others and it may be as simple as the sender is faulty.
