Replacement Rear Fuel Tank

Hey guys ,

I'm looking at trying to extend the range on the Prado and would prefer not to be carrying Jerry cans on the roof . Is anyone able to tell me if there are any long range tank available for the 120 series in Petrol . I can see heaps out there for the diesel models but nothing seems to be around for the Petrol . Any advice appreciated

180l not enough? Where are you planning on travelling? Madigans? The 120 Petrol & Diesel tank setups are the same other than a extra filter for the diesel so if you can find a bigger rear tank for the 120 then knock yourself out...

Thanks Craig - I'm travelling Simpson with a few other blokes all in diesels so im on my own fuel wise . Just looking also on some linger trips with the boys so wanted to Max the carrying capacity. Probably being overly catutious on this trip but its my first Big possibly over range trip if for example we go from Dalhousie get 3/4 and have to turn back . Appreciate the info .

Here's an old thread about the Brown Davis tanks for the 120, will get you up around 260 litres.

Thanks Mark -Brown Davis didn't seem to do one for petrol any more , however I talked with Long range auto an i MAY be able to get something from them - may be a bit of cad work to be done but Paul(i think) seemed really helpful . I'll keep updating if i am able to get a custom (repeatable ) build
