2003 V6 Auto

Would appreciate some input please - When starting the vehicle in the mornings, it idles at around 700 rpm, but is eratic, ranging between 400 and 700 rpm. After about 20 minutes, in town traffic and at the lights, it will often cut out completely. This happens with either A/C on or off.

I've seached through other threads - and guessing from those replies that it's either the Injectors, throttle body, or idler sensor. Are there any DIY things I can do to by process of elimination to diagnose?

The vehicle was last serviced by Toyota some 8000km back.

It's sounds like the same issue I have with my new 09 120 V6. Mine does the same, AC on or off. I think it may be a CPU problem, as it has now escalated into randomly shutting down the entire electrical system, causing the motor to go into "limp home mode" or the like, and then complete power shutdown. If I then switch the ignition off, wait a few seconds, and then start it back up .... it then starts up fine and runs perfectly. This has now happened on three occasions. Two at 110kph on the M5 and one at 55kph just coming off the SHB. I have noticed that the eratic idle happened on the last two occasions, prior to the complete shutdowns.
It is currently in the dealership having this issue investigated and the dashboard replaced ( lifting ). I will post the outcome when I get it back ( it's been a week so far ).
