Best premium fuel

PRADOGXLV6 , i ran my highly modified WRX on this fuel ALWAYS as i had to run premium .

its IMHO the best fuel there is out there if you want to go the highest octane .

i salary packaged this wagon ...with MOBIL fuel card (my choice) , there is more MOBIL servos around me than any others , i live about 500m from a seroiusly busy road , there are 2 mobils within 600m of me and 5 others on the way to work .

so the ole 180lt tank has a choice of pubs

especially in the go of things with the price of petrol .... a salary sacrificed package means a fuel price of $1.30 a litre , minus fleet discount of 10% = $1.17 , minus the tax mans 40% cut = 70c per litre .

so at 70c a litre its easy to pay made the decision of a diesel v petrol v extra power , easy to make .

Thought I should mention, I originally voted BP Ultimate as that's what I've always used. But I recently switched to United Boost98 which contains ethanol. I have experienced roughly the same to slightly better consumption figures on this fuel - but the main advantage is price, it's on average 10 cents per litre cheaper - that works out at about $15-18 per tank - well worth changing for.

I've used Boost98 and I think it's a good alternative too. However, I'm puzzled by your comment that your fuel economy actually improved. This shouldn't be the case with ethanol blended fuels - I would have thought that economy would remain the same (at best) or be slightly poorer than unleaded 98 octane fuel (typically).

This is because the same volume of fuel with ethanol in it has slightly less calorific value than unblended fuel. That's how it's been explained to me anyway.
