Middle Row Cup Holder Not Closing?

The second row/ rear seat arm rest consol thing that has the pop out cup holders in the fold up bit - do you know what I mean? What is it called?

Well what ever it is, has anybody taken out the hard plastic cup holdery bit, out from the arm rest bit/ the bit that folds up???

My 3 year old has managed ( no small feat ) to get something jammed in there
At this stage it will not fully close, it will get to an inch or so of closing- so close, but no cigar!!!!!

Any ideas much appreciated

My kids have done that to me too, quite a few times. Move the armrest up and down, push the cupholder in and out. It'll come out eventually.

I tried for about 10-15 mins but the small boy 20 weeks old decided that I had better stop and make him happy instead.
I have my suspicions about it being a pencil, but won't know until I have the damn thing out
