prado towing

I am posting this for a friend of mine, so i will give it to the brains trust of pradopoint. He is about to buy a new caravan, which has a tare weight of 1790 and an approx ball weight of 120kg. He has a 2007 GXL petrol, 120 series prado (auto). He wants to know, is the prado more than capable of towing this caravan without trouble.

More than capable IMO.

We towed a 1350kg camper with a Rav for 4 months :shock:

It will tow it well except the 120kg ball weight will need to be adressed with suspension additions/ mods.

I tow my boat with mine, about 1600kg loaded up and it tows really well, mines an 05 TD auto with a 2" lift. I wouldn't imagine you would have any problems at all.

What form of additions would you be refering too. He has poly air bags fitted in the rear, would that be sufficent
