Heater core

Hey all,

has anyone done or had done the heater core in their prado?? Mine is smelling a lot like hot coolant inside and the level in the overflow bottle is dropping slowly....

Firstly I would check the carpet for any dampness, if its wet then obvioulsy there's a leak BUT check your heater hoses also, also check under the bonnet to make sure its not leaking from around a hose and following its way into the cabin and dripping down. Looks like a buggar of a job to replace especially if you have climate air. I havn't read anywhere yet of some one having to replace the heater core in a 120, you would have to be unlucky I reckon, but there is that distinctive smell of coolant when it leaks, its a bloody shocking smell.
