  • Did 4WD course today

Just thought I would mention I did a course today for Low range Bush driving with Australian 4WD and Advanced Driver Training. It is held out near Lake Kurwongbah just to the north of Brisbane. The area they have there is good and the instructors were also good. There were 6 vehicles doing the course and about 9 persons.

The Prado performed well and went up a couple of spots quite easily that a raised Hilux dual cab struggled with.

    Cheers

I have done a number of club trips with Nissan Patrols, Pathfinders, Navaras, a couple of Jeeps and a few Toyotas and I have always come back with a smile. I did need the slight lift kit to help when going out with the Nissan Patrols but the Prado has always done well. Never regreted the day I purchased it (and the driver training to show me what the car could do).

Well done Spooky.I did mine some years ago in melb just after I purchased the Prado .The best thing I ever did ! I could not believe where we could go ,both up ,down & in 900ml deep water too.Stock tyres went thru mud etc with flying colours . Interestingly out of 10 different FWD only the Prado Patrol & an old FJ completed the whole course.I advise all newbies to "av a go". I enclose a photo of last hill !!! of the day . Cheers

Yeah, we went up several pretty steep sections but not as steep as that one looks. I remember from my trip up the cape a few years back in a landcruiser it is amazing what you can get through if you are careful.
