  • Jack Location in 07 GLX

    Hi peeps,
Been lurking around the forum getting some good advice for setting up my Prado for a round oz trip next year. Just looking for a place to store my airhose for the Arb underbonnet i had fitted and i opened a box on the passenger side of the cargo area and it was empty. Looked like it should be for the jack so i guess mine is missing?? Is this where the jack should be?

Thanks for the help so far!

That's where the jack should have been located, so looks like you are up for a new one

That's assuming you mean the box at the corner, not the one on the side.

The compartment above the wheel arch should be empty (thats where i keep my air hose). The compartment at the rear right by the door is where your jack should be.

          G'day Benny
I Found some FUZE camcorder bags made by Caselogic, at Sam's Warehouse.
This bag fitted the ARB air hose and fittings perfectly, it is stored in the pigeon hole in the left hand side of the Rear Cargo area.
I think they cost about $13.00
          Cheers Troy

So the one above the wheel should be empty??
Ok i will have to check the corner pocket for the jack then tonight. Pretty sure there was no jack in there either.

PS- Thanks for the heads up about the camcorder bag Troy - have to check that out!

Picture taken for another purpose but the jack should be in front of the black steel area. The jack wedges in this space with a rubber strap across it. Mine was removed to do the wiring. If your jack is missing I guess it gives you a good reason to buy a decent (hydraulic) one.

We store a Major Trauma medical kit in the closed off box on the passenger hand side, there's another idea if you've got that space free. Fits nice and neat, easy to access (hopefully it never gets used - but better safe than sorry!).
