bluetooth stoped working after 10000 k/m service
i noticed the bluetooth symbol missing on the radio display
i tried to register the phone again it was already listed
but no connection

i took it back to toyota they tried but no luck they suggested to try another phone
i went home and tried my sons phone same fault

should the bluetooth symbol be displayed all of the time or is there a setting in the menu to turn it off i have had a look in the radio manual but could not see anything

Philf63, I have been having alot of problems with the bluetooth with a nokia N73.

Remove the phone from the listing and then re-install it should work.

With the N73 it shows the bluetooth symbol but no signal strength, with my O2 it shows signal strength.

The bluetooth has been getting very flakey and was going to discuss with the service department at 10,000k.

I was looking for a factory reset of the stereo, but the only way is to disconnect the battery i think, bit reluctant with all the electrics etc.

should the bluetooth symbol be displayed all of the time on the radio display as there is no symbol now on my radio display

the bluetooth symbol will only display when it is picking up a bluetooth enabled device and that device is on. (bluetooth on the phone must be on/enabled).

Removing handset and adding again tends to fix most problems. there is another thread in accessories i think about bluetooth.

Just off the subject slightly, but does the factory radio/CD player with bluetooth have a control or function buttons for answer/hangup etc . Or do you have to rely on the phones buttons to answer/hangup?

Calls can be answered automatically as set out in Radio Handbook on page 23.

Think you can only hang up by pressing the "on hook" button.

The factory radio with Bluetooth does inded have buttons for "off hook" and "hang up" colour coded green and red respectively (with the appropriate symbols)
