Thats brilliant OBD... you have done a much better job of keeping buyers up to date with a digital camera than what Toyota could come up with.

        Thanks.

Maybe Toyota will reward my advertorial skills with a new GXL Prado. Any color, any set up and I would be willing to pick it up anywhere in Australia. Are you reading this Mr Toyota ???

The climate control and rear aircon is the same as the Grande & VX models have always had. It's a great addition for the GXL.
And it's about time the Prado got the steering wheel controls.!!

The only thing I'm spewing about is the dual zone Air Con. The steering wheel controls wouldn't be any good for me as I always seem to upgrade the stereo!

Still wouldn't mind a brand newy though...

Did anyone else notice that this website http://toyota.jp/landcruiserprado/tx...or/index2.html shows the Prado with no Tailgate mounted spare wheel?

                Looks weird!?

Thats the same as the one I hired while in New Zealand a few months ago. That version does not have dual fuel tanks. The spare wheel mounts underneath instead. As far as I know this version is not imported into Australia. I prefer the extra fuel capacity rather than a cleaner looking rear end anyway.

The clean skin back door would look good on our " normal " Prados if an aftermarket dual wheel carrier is fitted. But probably not worth the effort !

I believe the US Lexus LX models don't have the spare on the tailgate either. I'd much prefer to have the spare away from the tailgate myself.

Does look a bit weird... is there a spare on that model at all?

I was told today by the dealer that all A/C is installed in Australia??
He also mentioned that all the little nick nacks that were in the VX model 2 years ago are now in the GLX
The grille hasn't changed for 18 months, and the headlights are not definately not darker. At least not on my vehicle.

From memory I think the 'smoked headlights' only come on the VX and Grande, along with the darker front grille

A/C in the GXL was dealer fitted on last model it is now factor fitted like the VX and Grande hence the rear air ducting which is great.

The reason that Air Con is generally fitted by the dealer in Australia is due to AC being classed as a luxury item, hence vehicles fitted with AC become more expensive to import as they attract the LUXURY TAX....

Pretty sad to think that half your dash has been ripped apart before you even see the vehicle though eh?!
