New Prado Arrives after 5 month wait.... alas wrong colour

If i'd bought new I would have considered that colour. I actually quite like it!

I went for what I considered boring commercial white, non metallic easy to touchup, but now, because it is mine, it has become my favourite colour, so whatever colour you buy, will become your favourite, thats what happens when you buy used, you buy on condition and live with whatever colour it happens to be. I think the green looks great.

However, because it is arelaxing colour, it is less noticeable on the road ( scientifically green causes your eyes to relax, I am led to believe ) so keep your headlamps on for safety.

Thanks for the welcome Fazza, A quick response as I am packing to go on a caravan trip for a week to south west.

From Perth, previously had a 04 V6 5speed auto gx, was fantastic. Now have an 07 d4d 6 speed man gx, even better, love the d4d and prefer manual, especially 6 speed. Tow an 03 Jayco 15,5 ft freedom poptop. I am broke (hence the gx) but I have fun!!

Welcome to a great forum, tiktok. It's amazing how many owners have previously upgraded from the V6... and are wrapt with their new D4Ds.

Thanks ssbaby, yeah the d4d lacks for nothing, pulls like a train and sips like grandma.
I used to see the V6 fuel guage visibly drop which was scarey, I used to kinda hold my breath when I drove the petrol. the diesel is so economical.

Reading your words on the D4D 6 speed manual is making me more anxious.

I ordered mine in May and pick it up tomorrow ! I can't wait.

Taking it to the Elmore Field Days on Thursday to give it a run.

Pradopoint has been great with the updates about vehicle delivery times. If I hadn't found the website I would have been a real pain to the Toyota dealer. If anything Toyota should be sponsoring this website as it's probably stopped others from hammering their dealer about delays.

I've also liked the information from others. There's a great thread about adding a dual battery including full pictures of the installation.

Those things make this a great spot for Prado owners.
