      Congrats on a new purchase.
Seats covers look excellent. Any idea how much did they charge for them?

I've got a feeling the front seats were about $400 each and the back seat was about $700. They're an excellent quality and fit. The split rear seat with fold out arm rest was the tricky one.

My dad was in the passenger seat the other day and my daughters were in the back. Definitely comfy, they all fell asleep within about 20 minutes of leaving home on a 2 hour drive last week.

          Accessorising

Totally envious of the proud owners. I will soon be placing my own order for a GXL. Then I get to play the waiting game; not expecting delivery unitl sometime between Feb and May 08.

I have a couple of questions on accessorising.

This is what I was told by the dealer, though they didn't have examples for me, so I'm hoping someone can add some more detail for me.

          1) Window Tint - Front 2 Windows (Metro Only)

Would this simply be the normal window-tinting? I believe the front 2 windows are the only ones that need it.

          2) Rallye1000 Driving Lights - Pencil and Spread Beam

I wondered about going with this combination, or the rectangular pair, or some other option. I was presuming one pencil and one spread beam provide the best all-round coverage. Does your experience match?

          3) After seeing your photos of the sheepskin covers, I will try to squeeze them into the budget also, at least for the fronts.

          Thanks,
          LFaR.

            LFaR,

            1) I cant comment on the tint for the front windows, but it would be good I'd think. Not sure on the legality of it though? Must be a reason why Toyota left the front alone.

            2) I have the IPF 900 extreme sports, in the spot/spread combo and it works well. I know that some (using the IPF 900XS) use 3 lights, not sure the combo, but possibly two spots with 1 spread in the centre? I'm impressed with the intensity of these lights, especially for 65watts. Dont know anything about the Ralleye1000's but should be fine.

            3) I also got sheepskin covers and they are worth every cent.

            enjoy your new Prado.

            Cheers

            Mark

We got the front 2 windows tinted. They don't exactly match the privacy glass, but it looks really good. It doesn't look abnormal. I will hopefully get some pics up in a few weeks time.

                LFAR,

My car only has the front two windows done only with standard t35 tint, matches the others nicely, with spotlights, round do give a better light and the spread and pencil are the best combo.
