Would I be correct in saying that a novated lease does not include GST as its claimed back by your employer ??

That included GST but the GST was negated by a TAX credit of the same amount. Not sure how that works.

That's right. So a quote of $51K is like $51K + $5.1K, which equals $56.1K inclusive of GST.

If I cancel my current order of a VXD4D due to Toyota continually stuffing me around, I have my eye on an "not yet sold" GXL auto D4D which is due in the country this month. I have been quoted just under $55000 on the road with no accesories. Dealer told me he would only make $100 profit on the car but got the OK from his boss. I think hes counting on me getting it serviced there.

Unfortunately it is Silver !!

Just for the record my VX that is on order will cost me $63490 on the road no accessories ,when and if it ever arrives......

How many times have we heard a similar line from sales people?
Standard negotiating tactic, pretending your screwing the sales staff, to make you feel you've got the upper hand and in the same statement make you feel guilty.

on a car in such demand, with a waiting list approaching 9 months, do we really think he's making only $100?
$55k sounds like a ballpark figure for what others are paying.

So sad isn't it I wonder how they feed themselves though so people say the fleet people are on sales targets not direct commissions so that might explain a few things.

Hi All, Is it just me or are some of the prices too good to be true.

List price alone for a GXL auto D4D is $58790 plus on road costs. Drive away price is everything inc dealer delivery, GST, stamp duty, rego.

The best I was quoted for a GXL TD auto D4D is $64590 drive away, with no options..

I don't have the option for a novated lease or fleet discount, just a personal loan.

If you truly believe you can get a D4D GXL Auto for $60k drive away in Melbourne, Please list the dealer or PM me with the details.

I'll pay a spotters fee if it's a real deal and I drive it away.
