I stopped today to look at a 07 GXL 120s today in a caryard [just tyre kicking],and i notice that the fuel and bonnet release levers where place differently to mine , and compared it to a 04 also on the same lot which was same as mine. Thought it odd that Toyota would install them differently to earlier models but maybe the design engineers thought that this would make a great update feature! On my 120s the fuel lever is closest to the drivers door and the bonnet release to the left of that closer to the steering column, whereas the 07 example i seen they where other way round. It doesn't really matter but now am curious about whether toyota did in fact change them on later 120s.

Myn is a 05 model and my mates VX is 06, both have the fuel release closest to the drivers door. You may find that at some stage they have had that panel out (Ive had myn out when I did the UHF) and put them back in the incorrect way. I rekon they would fit either way, same size just the fuel one is up higher and is forward a tad but are the same dimensions (just checked).Cheer Steve

Forgot to add, you will probably find that they did it that way (fuel to the right and protruding out in front of the bonnet one) so that when you put your hand down there to open the fuel door you grab the right one, other wise I would imagine there would be alot of people popping their bonnets and posibly forgetting to close them back down before driving off (although safety latch would stop it opening any further)......Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. I have just swapped mine around (very easy as they just clip in) as I got sick of opening the fuel door everytime I need to open the bonnet.2008 120 D4D GXL Auto, ARB Bar.
