I have only seen them fitted to rock climbers and competition vehicles.

Prado doesn't have a live axle front end.

Its nothing to do with live axle. The older IFS hiluxs had steering dampeners. Its because of rack and pinion steering, there's no moving rods or drag links to mount to for one.Comment

To answer your question...don't bother with them even if you could fit one. I have seen many of the coils snap and they can also cause overheating of the power steering pump which then starts to leak. Not a cheap fix.Comment

If you want to increase your 'return to centre' action, you can increase your wheel allignment caster. Is this the sort of thing your trying to achieve?
