We've had our Prado for 4 years in Sep and have thought of using seat covers but was worried that they would cause wear by rubbing on the original seat. Cost was also a factor because I didn't want to waste money on a cover that would last say 12 months. Anyway I still haven't got any seat covers, my seats are not showing any signs of wear (including the drivers seat). Any stains etc I clean straight away and I have had the vehicle detailed inside (shampooed) twice. We normally take our dog with us on holidays and we just lay a bed sheet across the back seat.

If I'd be doing a lot of mud bashing I'd probably consider getting some seat covers but I'm generally of the opinion that why should I cover cover up nice comfy seats? So that the next owner of my car gets to enjoy them? Mines an '03 with over 300,000kays and the seats still look fine. Then again I don't have kids or dogs either...

I had a look at the link above, the middle row base is one piece, you couldn't tip the seat forward for entry to rear seats or for long items through the back.

I managed to pick up a set of MSA's for the front off of Gumtree. Still new, in the packaging and box. A bargain at only $120 instead of $400. Downside is now I want the matching ones for the rear to come up as well!

They have taken a couple of weeks to settle in, but now they are good, and a pretty good fit.

To be honest if you don't have kids you could manage without them. If you have kids you are kidding yourself if you think the seats will look just as good in a years time.

I have had those MSA covers a year now and the amount of stuff they have caught on the seat from kids car seats is amazing. They have well and truly stopped milk, water, food, lollies etc from wrecking the cloth and can be easily wiped.

Covers are worth it along with the SandGrabba mats i put in and make the interior much easier to look after.

I've been trying to buy some seat covers for my 150 series, I can't get Supertrim covers in the UK as I guess there's a very limited market as most vehicles have leather upholstery. I contacted Supertrim direct but after an initial response asking for pictures of my vehicle I've heard nothing. Can anybody point me in the direction of a trader that I can deal with?

                    • Hey guys, sorry for the grave dig.

Who's got the MSA covers in their leather seats with the electric controls? I just picked mine up and I don't like the way they completely cover the control. Is this normal?
