With our TVan I can open the rear door with just the slightest left veer prior to stop - it was slightly more veer with the Ultimate Camper to get the rear door open. We've pulled the TVan along some fire trials with huge bunding build-up across them and was surprised that there was not contact with the draw-bar or rear of the van.

hi Tim
my camper trailer loaded is about 1400kg I have towed it on some steep and tight tracks even on one occasion was asked how i got there with the trailer?
i was told to get electric brakes and they have to be the best extra i ordered with the trailer as without them i would have shit myself on some of the descents, there also good on a tight corner when you need to jacknife the trailer to make the turn
have fun shopping

Hi Tim ,,Mate tow what you like up to the fair & reasonable weight proportionate to the weight of your prado [that is less than 2500 ks ] and keep the speed down when req.d.It is that simple all the time .I really like Ondaboats honesty about consumption too. it is very refreshing to hear someone tell the truth & not sook about it !!

Are you able to fully open your rear door ?
Sorry I haven't replied earlier - I have been off-line. Traction wasn't a problem on the black stuff and I haven't had any issues off road so far. I have had the Prado lifted (2") and ARB fitted the 400kg springs in the rear so no problems with erosion mounds or bottoming out. I solved the door opening problem by swapping the Treg with a McHitch which has alower profile.
