Is there OEM fridge in PRADO 120?

Hi

I'm curious, does our 120 series has an OEM fridge?

Incase it has, can anyone please show me it's picture and explain your using experience?

As these days I do travel a lot often and thus thinking of get one of them but not sure weather our PRADO has one or not.

I've tried searching on EBay and nothing display (may be I use wrong key word)

Anyway please give me some guideline would be very appreciate.

Only Grande has the OEM Fridge in the 120 model

As Craig said. It is the console box. If you have it, it is very straight forward to use.

OK I found it, currently I don't have it in my car is it just plug and play? or do I need to do further modification?

I think you'll find johnnie that further modification will be required... (not plug in play) you will see in the ebay pic that the fridge has separate gas lines that run to a separate little compressor in the rear (i think). Therefore unless you have a Grande, you're outta luck. The Grande has refrigerant lines that are not fitted in the standard model 120's (sorry)

So sad to hear that, but still I would like to make a try!!

May be if I got the fridge, the mechanic around me could sort me out on this issue.

Maybe it's cheaper to buy something like a 6L cooler because the OEM fridge is even smaller.

Ok, at the end I've won the auction, thank you Davros that let's me have this opportunity.

Now, I'm waiting for the item to arrived.

As far as I've asked the mechanic near my place he said he could able to adjust it to my Prado TX.

If possible, I'll keep all the pictures of the process and keep you guys update on this installation.

That's gonna be a big job, there is a heap of modification to the air conditioning system, body computer programming, consoles, wiring, seat side trims on console, underfloor etc etc..
You would be far better putting a small fridge in the back..

Just buying the fridge is the smallest part of the job..
