Ok guys really need your help. So I've finally confirmed with my normal mechanic that the middle of the shift has the circlip that has moved out of place causing this steering jiggle. He wasn't able to fit me in as I had a big drive ahead and I'd have to wait a while till he can do it.

Now, can someone help me decipher exactly what parts I'd need to fix this? When I get to town, I'm going to go see a mechanic and tell them straight up what it is so they can fix it.

Mine does the same thing, especially noticeable on rutted dirt roads.. I've had the noise for over 100 000km and I just live with it now.

That is a lot of money, is that a common fault with the 120 Prado? I did 200,000 KM on my last 120 SWB V6, never had that problem, now I am on my 3rd 120, all is well in the steering column department, knock on wood.
