  • "Missing" head rest for middle rear seat

    Hey guys,

Just to let you all know.......

I got pretty cranky on the weekend when I was demonstrating the rear seat set up for the missus - when she said "Where is the head rest for the middle rear seat?"

Immediately we went for the list of things not right or missing......and added it.

After speaking to the dealer today, *embarressed* he pointed out to me that it is located in a zipped pocket on the back of right-hand rear seat.....!

Embarressed and relieved - was ok.....dealer's pretty cool anyway.

Thought that you might get a giggle out of this one.....or even could be helpful to other doofs like me!

You can put me down for this one as well.
The dealer we bought it from had said they couldn't find it!
                    (not a Toyota dealer)
We found it today when putting seat covers on.
Putting on the back one and "heh what's this zip for"
                    Yep the head rest :-)

BTW the seat covers from Auto Barn are $150 and go on all 3 rows and have an opening on the fronts for the air bag.

                      No Way...

I have owned mine for 3 years and I have always said that when I come across a spare head rest that I will get it....
I have never priced 1 up, but I guess I have some extra $$ for the mods..
                      Cheers PP

I bought my Prado from a private seller. I asked for the third row centre head rest and waited while the previous owner searched his garage. It was getting late so we agreed he would keep looking and call me when he found it. I don't know how much time he spent looking, but I found it a few days later as I went over everything in my 'new' car.
