Fuel Gauge Problem

Hopefully someone can help with this problem.My Fuel Gauge seems to be stuck at just under Three Quaters of a tank on the main tank.I have been watching it for about Three days and it hasn't moved.The gauge drops to empty when the vehicle is turned off but only goes back to that position when I turn on the ignition.How difficult is it to get to the fuel sender in the main tank.

It could just be stuck? have you tried filling the tanks up full first? maybe forcing the sender upwards will un jam it?
