  • New Prado repair manual CD

    Hi All,

After discussion with a local Toyota dealer the word is a new Toyota Prado repair manual CD covering the August update will be available in late December. I believe the Toyota part No is SC00V2EA (0 = zero). He indicated the price may be around $95 (ouch).

Perhaps the inclusion of the CD should be part of the bargining process if your buying new? Its worth a shot!

I have SC00V2EA in my hands right now and from what I can gather it does not include the updated spec. e.g. audio controls on steering wheel etc. The CD is dated July 2007. I took it back to my dealer and they are currently investigating. Cost me $73

        Bl..y h..l,

Definite pays to live in the East. I was assured it was the update and was not supplied until December.

Have the Toyota guys given you any details when the update CD will be available and its cost?

Interesting situation. The parts manager contacted Toyota and they contacted Japan and confirmed that the version they gave me was the update spec CD so they ordered it. When I received it I couldn't find the spec update so I took it back and told them to find it in the CD. They couldn't. (this happened last week) So now the parts manager is ringing Toyota again. I guess they will go to Japan. Should have an answer any day now. Price should be exactly the same.

Thanks rmargoss, sounds like you have set the issue in motion to get fixed. Hopefully most PP'ers will have abit more luck after you have a win. Let us know when you finally get the latest update.

                Hi All,
I am in the process of doing some mods and so far the Electrical Schematics are correct for the lighting, front fog lights, charging system as is the rear A/C configuration I am using P/N SC00W1EA.

Also when I look at the update service supplements they cover the vehicle correctly. I haven't looked into the Audio System as yet.

Happy Chappy so far and very pleased with the Quality of wiring when compared to my Patrol particularly the Junction and Connector configurations and that Toyota lubricate the connectors..

Does the CD show the Sat Nav (model 26028) wiring?

I just rang a dealer and was told that SC00V2EA is not a toyota part number and he wasnt real helpful!

This response may be a bit late but the part number is SC00W2EA and it supercedes SC00W1EA. Cost me $88 from SciFleet Toyota Kitchener Rd Kedron Brisbane only 2 weeks ago. I have a June 07 build D4d VX and the exact model number is listed on the CD.

I have a Prado Grande Oct 08 model. Will the SC00W2EA be suitable for this and will the disks operate on a computer with Vista on a 64bit system.

                      Would appreciate a reply.

My CD will not install properly on my Vista laptop for some reason. However I have made it somewhat workable by copying to the hard drive and then going to the Contents directory and running index.html.
