2005 Petrol Automatic GXL.
Driving the other day. Noticed it almost finished the first tank. So naturally the needle sits just below half before it switches over to the top again again to start the second tank with 90l light/
Then last night when driving It noticed the needle was at the 3/4 full mark or slightly below it.
When I stopped the car I turned it off and on to reds a few times to make the needle go up and down. It finally moved back down to below the halfway line where it should be.
So started driving back home. It finally switched over to the second tank showing 90l light and needle was back to the top to where it should be for the second tank.
Got home. Thought i would see if the problem was there again.
Turned it back to reds and same thing. Lo and behold! back to that 3/4 full mark with the 90l light on.
Tried turning it off and on a few times. Nothing.
Would it be a fuel sender issue? Gauge? Bad earthing?
Im thinking of filling her up to make the gauge move again but Im worried it will only mask the problem.
